Occurrences in the Qur’an:
The name of Allah, (Al-Hameed), appears in the Qur'an in 55 places. It is mentioned as (Al-Hameed) in 10 verses, as (Hameed) in 6 verses, as (Hameedan) in one verse, as (Alhamdulillah) ("Praise be to Allah") in 23 verses, and in derived forms of praise in 15 verses.
Firstly: The verses where the name appears as (Al-Hameed):
"Alif, Lam, Ra. [This is] a Book which We have revealed to you, [O Muúammad], that you might bring mankind out of darknesses into the light by permission of their Lord – to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 14: 1]
"And they had been guided [in worldly life] to good speech, and they were guided to the path of the Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 22: 24]
"To Him belongs what is in the heavens and what is on the earth. And indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 22: 64]
"To Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and earth. Indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 31: 26]
"And those who have been given knowledge see that what is revealed to you from your Lord is the truth, and it guides to the path of the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 34: 6]
"O mankind, you are those in need of Allah, while Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 35: 15]
"And it is He who sends down the rain after they had despaired and spreads His mercy. And He is the Protector, the Praiseworthy."

"[Those] who are stingy and enjoin upon people stinginess. And whoever turns away– then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 57: 24]
"There has certainly been for you in them an excellent pattern for anyone whose hope is in Allah and the Last Day. And whoever turns away – then indeed, Allah is the Free of need, the Praiseworthy."

"And they resented them not except because they believed in Allah, the Exalted in Might, the Praiseworthy," [Qur’an: 85: 8]
Secondly: The verses where the name appears as "Hameed."
"O you who have believed, spend from the good things which you have earned and from that which We have produced for you from the earth. And do not aim toward the defective therefrom, spending [from that] while you would not take it [yourself] except with closed eyes. And know that Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 2: 267]
"They said, 'Are you amazed at the decree of Allah May the mercy of Allah and His blessings be upon you, people of the house. Indeed, He is Praiseworthy and Honorable.'" [Qur’an: 11: 73]
"And Moses said, 'If you should disbelieve, you and whoever is on the earth entirely – indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy.'"

"And We had certainly given Luqman wisdom [and said], "Be grateful to Allah." And whoever is grateful is grateful for [the benefit of] himself. nd whoever denies [His favor] – then indeed, Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 31: 12]
"Falsehood cannot approach it from before it or from behind it; [it is] a revelation from a [Lord who is] Wise and Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 41: 42]
"That is because their messengers used to come to them with clear evidences, but they said, "Shall human beings guide us" and disbelieved and turned away. And Allah dispensed [with them]; and Allah is Free of need and Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 64: 6]
Thirdly: The verse where the name appears as "Hameedan."
"And to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And We have instructed those who were given the Scripture before you and yourselves to fear Allah. But if you disbelieve – then to Allah belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And ever is Allah Free of need and Praiseworthy." [Qur’an: 4: 131]
Fourthly: The verses where the name appears as "Alhamdulillah" (Praise be to Allah):
"[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds –" [Qur’an: 1: 2]
"[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who created the heavens and the earth and made the darkness and the light. Then those who disbelieve equate [others] with their Lord." [Qur’an: 6: 1]
"So the people that committed wrong were eliminated. And praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds." [Qur’an: 6: 45]
"And We will have removed whatever is within their breasts of resentment,[while] flowing beneath them are rivers. And they will say, 'Praise to Allah, who has guided us to this; and we would never have been guided if Allah had not guided us. Certainly the messengers of our Lord had come with the truth.' And they will be called, 'This is Paradise, which you have been made to inherit for what you used to do.'" [Qur’an: 7: 43]
"Their call therein will be, "Exalted are You, O Allah," and their greeting therein will be, "Peace." And the last of their call will be, "Praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds!" [Qur’an: 10: 10]
"Praise to Allah, who has granted to me in old age Ishmael and Isaac. Indeed, my Lord is the Hearer of supplication." [Qur’an: 14: 39]
"Allah presents an example: a slave [who is] owned and unable to do a thing and he to whom We have provided from Us good provision, so he spends from it secretly and publicly. Can they be equal Praise to Allah But most of them do not know." [Qur’an: 16: 75]
"And say, 'Praise to Allah, who has not taken a son and has had no partner in [His] dominion and has no [need of a] protector out of weakness; and glorify Him with [great] glorification.'" [Qur’an: 17: 111]
"[All] praise is [due] to Allah, who has sent down upon His Servant [Muúammad ] the Book and has not made therein any deviance."

"Say, [O Muúammad], "Praise be to Allah, and peace upon His servants whom He has chosen. Is Allah better or what they associate with Him" [Qur’an: 27: 59]
"And say, '[All] praise is [due] to Allah. He will show you His signs, and you will recognize them. And your Lord is not unaware of what you do.'" [Qur’an: 27: 93]
"And if you asked them, "Who sends down rain from the sky and gives life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness" they would surely say, "Allah." Say, "Praise to Allah"; but most of them do not reason."

"[All] praise is [due] to Allah, Creator of the heavens and the earth, [who] made the angels messengers having wings, two or three or four. He increases in creation what He wills. Indeed, Allah is over all things competent." [Qur’an: 35: 1]
"And they will say, "Praise to Allah, who has removed from us [all] sorrow. Indeed, our Lord is Forgiving and Appreciative."

"Allah presents an example: a man [i.e., slave] owned by quarreling partners and another belonging exclusively to one man – are they equal in comparison Praise be to Allah! But most of them do not know." [Qur’an: 39: 29]
"And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne, exalting [Allah] with praise of their Lord. And it will be judged between them in truth, and it will be said, '[All] praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds.'" [Qur’an: 39: 75]
"He is the Ever-Living;there is no deity except Him, so call upon Him, [being] sincere to Him in religion. [All] praise is [due] to Allah, Lord of the worlds." [Qur’an: 40: 65]
"And [mention, O Muúammad], when your Lord said to the angels, "Indeed, I will make upon the earth a successive authority."They said, "Will You place upon it one who causes corruption therein and sheds blood, while we exalt You with praise and declare Your perfection" He [Allah] said, 'Indeed, I know that which you do not know.'"

"And the thunder exalts [Allah] with praise of Him – and the angels [as well] from fear of Him – and He sends thunderbolts and strikes therewith whom He wills while they dispute about Allah; and He is severe in assault." [Qur’an: 13: 13]
"So exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord and be of those who prostrate [to Him]." [Qur’an: 15: 98]
"The seven heavens and the earth and whatever is in them exalt Him. And there is not a thing except that it exalts [Allah] by His praise, but you do not understand their [way of] exalting. Indeed, He is ever Forbearing and Forgiving." [Qur’an: 17: 44]
"On the Day He will call you and you will respond with praise of Him and think that you had not remained [in the world] except for a little."

"So be patient over what they say and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting; and during periods of the night [exalt Him] and at the ends of the day, that you may be satisfied." [Qur’an: 20: 130]
"And rely upon the Ever-Living who does not die, and exalt [Allah] with His praise. And sufficient is He to be, with the sins of His servants, [fully] Aware." [Qur’an: 25: 58]
"Only those who believe in Our verses who, when they are reminded by them, fall down in prostration and exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord, and they are not arrogant." [Qur’an: 32: 15]
"And you will see the angels surrounding the Throne, exalting [Allah] with praise of their Lord. And it will be judged between them in truth, and it will be said, "[All] praise to Allah, Lord of the worlds." [Qur’an: 39: 75]
"Those [angels] who carry the Throne and those around it exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and believe in Him and ask forgiveness for those who have believed, [saying], "Our Lord, You have encompassed all things in mercy and knowledge, so forgive those who have repented and followed Your way and protect them from the punishment of Hellfire." [Qur’an: 40 :7]
"So be patient, [O Muúammad]. Indeed, the promise of Allah is truth. And ask forgiveness for your sin[1] and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord in the evening and the morning." [Qur’an: 40: 55]
"The heavens almost break from above them, and the angels exalt [Allah] with praise of their Lord and ask forgiveness for those on earth. Unquestionably, it is Allah who is the Forgiving, the Merciful."

"So be patient, [O Muúammad], over what they say and exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord before the rising of the sun and before its setting," [Qur’an: 50: 39]
"And be patient, [O Muúammad], for the decision of your Lord, for indeed, you are in Our eyes [i.e., sight]. And exalt [Allah] with praise of your Lord when you arise." [Qur’an: 52: 48]
Then exalt [Him] with praise of your Lord and ask forgiveness of Him. Indeed, He is ever Accepting of Repentance. [Qur’an: 110: 3]
